Organford Manor Country Park

Hear Don and Sue’s review of Organford Manor Dorset

Don and Sue stumbled across Organford Manor Country Park one Sunday afternoon in March 2016, after driving around to look at properties in the local area. The couple were both blown away with the location of the park, and the look and feel of the open space as the park is surrounded by countryside views. Being close to a good local hospital and family was also a big bonus due to recent health issues. After several on site meetings with Henry, the couple reserved a large corner plot over looking fields which would accommodate the size of home they required, and provide them with a nice size garden and decking area. With our property part exchange scheme on offer, Don asked Henry if he could get valuations on their current property. As Sue was not in good health, it would mean they could stay in their current property until the new home was built, Don and Sue felt this was the easiest and most convenient route for them. In the meantime with the assistance of their son who is an architect, the couple started the process of designing a bespoke home to suit their needs with a park home manufacturer.

“What impressed me the most upon meeting Henry was he was down to earth, and he took the time to show me plans of the new development, and the high quality materials being used which to an ex-builder like myself, meant a lot”

Phase 1 of the new development had just got underway and the field was a building site with just a couple of plots in place, so Don who had owned his own building company for many years straight away could see the potential, but his wife Sue would take some convincing. Don decided to contact Henry Simmons the park owner to arrange a meeting at the park and discuss the new development, and whether it was possible to site a large 65 x 22 park home. Don commented, “What impressed me the most upon meeting Henry was he was down to earth, and he took the time to show me plans of the new development, and the high-quality materials being used which to an ex-builder like myself, meant a lot”.

After several on-site meetings with Henry, the couple reserved a large corner plot overlooking fields which would accommodate the size of home they required, and give them a nice size garden and decking area.

A week later the part exchange valuations had been carried out and Henry Simmons made the couple and acceptable offer on their property, and the new home was put into a production slot for later in the year, which gave Don and Sue time to start packing and down sizing.

The new home arrived in January 2017, the Organford Manor team then set to work to transform the outside plot with large private driveway, landscaped front and rear gardens, shed, and a large decked area to make the most of the countryside views.

I recently caught up with Don and Sue now they have had a chance to settle in at the park and this is what they had to say about the whole experience:

“We absolutely love living here and should of done it years ago. The park and location is wonderful and we love the home as we are now on one level which makes life easier with arthritis. Everyone is so friendly and its great to be living amongst like minded people knowing there will be no noisy kids. We cannot thank Henry and his team enough as they have been excellent throughout the whole process, and would recommend Organford Manor Country Park to anyone thinking of purchasing a park home.”
